Do you walk around your neighbourhood admiring your neighbours’ beautiful flower gardens, only to cry into your pillow at night because you have a black thumb and can’t keep a plant alive to save yourself?
Just me?
I’ve always dreamed of a house full of beautiful fresh blooms that I’d hand grown myself, however when I realized I’m quite hopeless at gardening, I instead set my sights on the goal of enjoying the flowers, without all the hard work of growing them.
I tried buying flowers from the grocery store, but they never seemed to last more than a few days. I’d shell out my hard-earned cash for a bouquet, only to watch it wilt and fade before I could even really enjoy it. It seemed like such a waste.
But then, I had an idea. What if there was a service that delivered fresh, locally sourced flowers straight to my door on a regular basis? And so, We Bloom was born.
As the founder of We Bloom, my goal was to make it easy for anyone to enjoy the beauty of fresh flowers in their home, without the hassle of having to go out and find them themselves. I work with local growers (many who grow their beauties right here in the Hills) to source the freshest, most beautiful blooms that will have your heart singing like a princess from a Disney film.
But our subscription service isn’t just about convenience – it’s also about the science of fresh flowers and the mood-boosting benefits they provide.
Studies have shown that simply looking at flowers can reduce stress and anxiety levels.
When we see a beautiful bloom, our brain releases happy chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which give us those warm, fuzzy feelings.
But wait, there’s more! Flowers also have a calming effect on our nervous system. Their colours and fragrances activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for slowing down our heart rate, reducing blood pressure, and promoting relaxation. No wonder we love having them around!
So if you’ve been waiting for someone to send you some gorgeous flowers for the last 750 years like the rest of us suckers, or maybe you’re the one who keeps forgetting to do the sending (Rob!) then let me hook you up with some incredibly pretty flowers I guarantee you’ll love!
Go Get Bloomed!
love Jonaye
